My Thoughts

Strangeways carries itself incredibly well as a final album. It has that signature guitar from Marr and the compelling lyricism from Morrisey which mashes all together to form an incredibly impactful goodbye.
I'm not sure if they knew this would be their finale, but you can almost hear it in the guitar, although that may a by-product of the songs themselves being a bit more mellow.

Despite that, it's the sort of album that can get you up from your chair and make you sing and dance. It's incredibly fun and, to use a word that I'm not sure is a word, jiggy! I get why Morrisey used to sort of wiggle about during performances.
